What have we accomplished?

  1. Tourism Partnership Program
    • Hoya Robotics – Funding for an off-season robotics tournament in fall 2023.
    • Group of Seven Outdoor Mural Gallery – Funding to revamp the gallery’s signage, brochures, and website, and add digital narration.
    • Campfire Sessions – Funding to support a campfire/music attraction every weekend in the summer of 2023,
    • Muskoka Tourism – Funding to support a CORUS radio campaign promoting Huntsville as a tourist destination.
    • Sandhill Nursery – Funding to support the annual Sandhill Fall Festival in 2023
    • Huntsville Festival of the Arts – Funding to support 2023 programming.
    • Ironman 70.3 Muskoka – Funding to support the annual triathlon in 2023.
    • Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators – Funding to support the 2023 CAMA national conference at Deerhurst Resort.
    • YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka – Funding to support their 2023 job fair.
    • Knights of Columbus – Funding to support the annual hockey tournament in 2022 and 2023.
    • Arrowhead Nordic – Funding to purchase timing equipment and other supplies for OUA (Ontario University Athletics) cross-country ski races in February 2023.
    • Huntsville High School – Funding to help provide officials for an OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) volleyball tournament in 2022.
    • Huntsville Festival of the Arts – Partnered to support Snow Village, the Huntsville Art Crawl & the Festival of the Arts 2022 shoulder-season events.
    • Downtown Huntsville BIA – Partnered to support the BIA’s ongoing work in our town.
    • Ironman 70.3 Muskoka – Funding to support the annual triathlon in 2022.
    • Muskoka Hornets – Funding to support the annual Fall Colours baseball tournament in 2021 and 2022.
    • Huntsville Girls Hockey – Funding to purchase half-ice boards for the youth girls January 2020 tournament, and for use for future tournaments.
    • Retreat to Nature – Partnered in the creation of a new health and wellness website and events initiative to position Huntsville as a wellness destination.

  3. Eclipse “Walk with Light” funding
    • Provided significant funding to support the inaugural (2021-22) and second season (2022-2023) of the highly successful Eclipse “Walk with Light” installation at Muskoka Heritage Place.
